Project Summary

Design Concept

Down syndrome is caused by an abnormality in the 21st pair of chromosomes, specifically the presence of an extra chromosome, resulting in three copies of chromosome 21. To visually represent this scientific concept, the design adopts a “connected dots” motif, symbolizing the structure of chromosomes and their interconnections.
The links between these dots represent the continuity of genetic material as well as the chromosomal variation associated with Down syndrome, visually conveying the concept of chromosomal abnormality in a clear and meaningful way.

The overall color palette features soft pink tones, symbolizing the innocence and tenderness of newborn babies. These gentle colors are intended to create a warm atmosphere filled with care and compassion.
Through this visual approach, the design aims to draw attention to Down syndrome while also conveying respect and appreciation for every life. It seeks to encourage greater public awareness and understanding of the condition, fostering empathy and support within society.
